Teacher Wentao started his oboe life at the age of 13, and he has been studying for many years with famous professors in the US. Such as SF symphony solo English horn-Russ Deluna and principal oboist in SF symphony-Eugene Izotov. Wentao is also the finalist of a few top orchestra auditions in the US, and he has performed with SF Symphony and SF Opera many times. Besides performing, Wentao is also an experienced teacher and professional reed maker who made the highest quality reeds. He has many years of teaching experience. His students hold positions with California youth symphony- golden states symphony orchestra- San Jose youth symphony -young people’s symphony orchestra -Oakland youth orchestra, and California all-state orchestras.
